TSG Team at the “Meet to Compete – Repeat”

Last week, our Managing Partner Ljubica Tomic and Teodora Telebak attended the Competition Law and Policy Conference “Meet to Compete – Repeat, held on 14–15 May 2026 in Opatija, Croatia. The event is one of the most important regional conferences for competition law and antitrust in Central and Southeast Europe.

The conference gathered enforcers and legal experts from Croatia, Austria, Spain, France, Poland, Slovenia, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as representatives of the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the EU. This unique mix of regional and international participants made this conference in Opatija a key meeting point for discussion and shaping of competition law policy.

Key topics included the evolving role of economic evidence in abuse of dominance cases, market definition in digital ecosystems, and first-hand experience from proceedings before the European Commission and EU courts. Interactive workshops addressed current challenges such as AI and information exchange, distribution systems, and dawn raid preparedness, offering direct practical value for in-house counsel and competition law practitioners.

The programme was carefully structured, with an open and professional atmosphere that encouraged networking and exchange of ideas without excessive formality. Our team found the conference particularly valuable for staying updated on the latest developments in EU competition law and strengthening regional connections.

We would like to thank the organisers for delivering an exceptionally well-organised event and for creating a platform where competition law professionals can meet and collaborate across borders.
