Application of international standards in Serbian contract law and international negotiations
To mark the 16th anniversary of TSG Law Office, an international conference was held in Belgrade on 26 October 2016, dedicated to the
Application of international standards in Serbian contract law and international negotiations
The morning session featured inspiring lectures on
- “The Civil Code of Serbia – general concept and main principles of the draft legislation” by Prof. Dr. Slobodan Perović
- “Overview of CISG and INCOTERMS – general concept, application, advantages” by Prof. Dr. Burghard Piltz
- “New reflections of the CISG to the regulation of a sale contract in the Serbian Civil Code” by Prof. Jelena Perović
while the afternoon panel “International Negotiations” provided a comparative law analysis of the legal significance of negotiations in German, Italian, Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian laws. The panel was moderated by TSG Managing Partner and attorney-at-law Ljubica Tomić and the panellists included attorneys-at-law Dr. Helena Devetak (Slovenia), Milan Markiš (Italy, Croatia), Prof. Franz Lingenfelser (Germany). This was followed by an exchange of experience and a lively professional discussion.
The perfect climax to the conference was a cocktail party in honour of the founding of “GERMAN-SERBIAN LAWYERS’ FORUM”. Its very first projects were the comparative law presentation of the legal significance of negotiations, as well as a seminar of labour law mechanisms in collaboration with the HR group of German & Serbian Chamber of Commerce, that took place in Belgrade that same day, under the moderation of TSG Partner and attorney-at-law Saša Sinđelić (TSG, Serbia) and attorney-at-law Igor Samardžić (LSH, Germany).
