Professional BACKGROUND

Nikola Stojiljković is a lawyer specialised in Corporate and M&A, Commercial, Regulatory, Dispute Resolution, Bankruptcy and Liquidation, Compliance and Internal Investigations, Life Sciences and Aviation. With over 20 years of experience, Nikola advises clients on a wide range of matters relating to the life cycle of a business entity under the Serbian law, starting with incorporation or acquisition of a local company and the establishment of corporate governance structures, through fulfilling regulatory requirements for operations, negotiation and conclusion of commercial contracts, implementation and maintenance of compliance programmes and conduct of internal investigations, ending with the client’s eventual exit from the Serbian market via sale, liquidation or bankruptcy of the company. Additionally, Nikola has extensive experience in dispute resolution, through mediation, litigation and arbitration, both in Serbia and internationally, acting independently or as a member of larger teams in several hundred court and arbitral proceedings. This combination of experiences positions Nikola as an ideal advisor capable of comprehensively understanding the majority of legal issues encountered by business entities operating in Serbia and proposing the most optimal solutions.

Prior to joining TSG Lawyers, Nikola spent more than ten years in the legal department of Serbia’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, serving as compliance officer and deputy director of legal affairs, followed by more than seven years at one of the most prominent regional law firms with a presence in Serbia, where he led and participated in some of the most high-profile transactions in the region.

Nikola is an active member of the working groups on corporate investigations and corporate law within the Legal Committee of the German Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK) and serves as a listed arbitrator of the AHK Statutory Arbitration. He is also a member of the Bankruptcy Law Association and actively contributes to its activities.
