Summary

With the adoption of the Law on Digital Property, Serbia, as one of the first countries in the world, is trying to comprehensively regulate the area of crypto assets and related financial technologies. The goals of the Law are to reduce the risks and abuses associated with cryptocurrency services, as well as its further development. However, the challenges posed to the legislator in this area are certainly not insignificant and there are numerous doubts. Therefore, it is desirable to monitor the effect and adequacy of regulatory solutions chosen by the Serbian legislator in the coming period.
